Absolutely not, teleportation already shortens distances across the world enough, we really don't need any more stupid shit making distances shorter.

I'd love to see teleportation removed entirely, and distances increased.
jorb: I don't want *your* money. You are rude and boring. Go away.
Sevenless: We already know real life has some pretty shitty game mechanics, it's why we're here instead.
Avu: The end is near it has finally come to pass: I agree with Lunarius...
Shubla: There are also other reasons to play this game than to maximize your stat gain.

The world should be much bigger! From continent to continent swim at least 5-6 hours.

your ideas suck and everyone agrees.

back to topic i think it would be cool if there was wind in haven and depending on which directions the wind blows speeds or slows down knarrs.

Your statement is wrong on all accounts. You Sir, as you knew this upfront, are impolite and a liar.

Careful what you ask for, they'll likely implement wind so that it'll come from where you want to go most of the time.

there really needs to be a option for people with a life taking a hour to cross to another continent is far 2 long. we have roads through land for fast travel so we should have something like a buoy in place of a roadsign and increase max travel to 1k cap. that way people with no life can still sail across the ocean and people with a life have a realistic option to get across the ocean!

Yeah because losing an hour on daily basis is something I want to do for the rest of this world and surely it does the magic to just stop playing. Your preferences aren't affected in your personal gameplay so You can build 1q knarr and have distances for you "increased" by being slowed but no, for me, thanks. I have a life. 7 hours a week just for travel to the closest continent for whatever reasons is enough.

+1. I believe that it has the possibility to make ocean travel more interesting with a walrus giving you flipper spanks along the way. :}

In case your daily commute to your workplace is too long the sane approach is to think about relocating...

My workplace is in one place, looking for trees and/or questing or just doing trading. I stare at boring water for hour. Ard client made a magic with water, making me stare at it for a bit, but it's not a long term solution.

and before You say it, relocating won't help. I would just "greatly" split myself over two places making things worse, there might be a time I won't be sailing on daily basis, but as it stands for now, I do and it's boring me as hell.

i was thinking more of drafts that randomly generate in the ocean creating new trade paths every day.
also please tell me how im wrong because everyone ive spoken to hates this mans idea of completely removing roads. lets delete highways in real life they transport us from 1 area to the other too fast!
