Isnt 'pvp' and 'quality increase from tree quests' completely contradictory? If this game was a 'pvp' game, tree quests should just increase the Q of items in your inventory.
There is no 'one definition' for haven, some people enjoy the exploration aspect whilst others enjoy the competitiveness of pvp.

It could be possible to remove hunger and LP from quests completely, but the chances of getting 'quality increase' as a reward would have to be around 10% for the mechanic to actually benefit the quester more than it benefits others.

the majority of quest rewards only benefit the quester exp/gildings area quality benefits them + few people that live in close proximity. its a pvp permadeath game that has questing in it if you want to quest as it stands right now you are forced to quest 24/7 to stay competitive but this is literally just going around in a circle without devs actually weighing in so its pointless to keep doing these topics

I created this topic because all i see are complaints about questing. I may have to change the topic's name.

My main point is that everyone's saying that 'you have to quest 24/7 to stay competitive'. But isn't that what competition is? Someone else is willing to quest 24/7 whilst you are not, therefore you lose. You do not come first in the competition.

Which boils down to no-lifers win by default, may these be actual people or just a clever piece of code.

No-lifers or not, someone having a possibility to put more time should be, the one leading the herd, no? Rather focus should be spent on a way to have a develop in skills that would give some edge to non no-lifers.

people have different playstyles the game should not force you to quest 24/7

an example, i am a hermit i like farming, mining, breeding(hehehe) animals, as it stands i am forced to waste my time (which i dont havvev much) to quest and reduce my hunger to even get a stat point cause getting shafted by satiations enough as it is and then you quest for 3-4 hours and end up icreasing fox quality by +3 somewhere where you would never hunt anyway while someone else quests for 5 minutes and end up with 123% hunger reduction and shitloads of exp/lp

b) Stick to the formula: the more work you put in -> the more rewards you get out.

This is not necessarily the case even. Some players can get lucky and have huge LP gains, while others might only get meager EXP gains.

If it were truly a one to one translation where the more work you do equals more rewards, I would be a lot more accepting with it. But in it's current iteration it's so random that it's anything but 1:1. Some players can be questing heavily but hardly ever get any decent hunger or LP bonuses if they are unlucky. And its also possible that some end up with very small amounts when they do get said LP/Hunger bonuses. Meanwhile other people can be extremely lucky and getting 8K-12K+ LP left and right.

It really doesn't help that you can do a tough 5 part quest and only get 1% hunger relief, while someone else can light a fire and get 20k LP. Difficulty is seemingly unrelated to the reward and it's not only nonsensical but infuriating as well. RNG is not fun for anyone who gets screwed by it.

Questing is awful.
