I like it! It will trigger a chain reaction of shoos that never ends!

lolol would prob start lagging the fuck out of my game 200 sheep moving around from shoo.

its a good start, but the problem is how random and annoying pathfinding with these animals are they always somehow surround me and block me and shooing doesnt work cuz they block each other too. wont it be the same thing tho now that i think about it instead of blocking gate they block the new type of gate?

I already live with pens made out of gates. We don't have anything that makes it good enough for now. We gotta start from something that can be changed.
Ideally I would like to see gates like this(cattle guards) along with animals that can be walked through. Ive asked for this before and I believe several others as well.
During a stream jorb answered the bounding box must be respected or something along those lines. The cattle guard gate is a compromise that adheres to jorbs requirements. I doubt the big herd keepers will get the one solution that matters(bounding boxless animals).

Looking at that setup I get flashbacks to those packed mistreated factory farmed animals.

Since we can hop between horse backs navigating in densely packed horse pens, perhaps adding an ability to ride cows would help in particular case of cow pens. Riding a cow looks funny, not so unrealistic, can be left impractical for transportation if cows refuse to ride faster than at crawl speed and no bounding boxes are going to be harmed in the process.

Muh bounding box integrity.
