Or maybe you live in some sort of no-player area if they spawn so frequently for You, because for me, clearly not that frequently.

Since we're talking about legacy, back then 2 boars near each other were really rare, also to the west there were another 3 deers and a rabbit.

So far I'm just walking, not living anywhere and no matter where I go, I tend to see huge amount of animals grouped up in one minimap (that's 4 legacy animals, one non-legacy and few chickens in a 100x100 square)

And then again, I remember 3 groups of buffalo spawning to each other and I clearly remember 2 boars weren't anything rare. Rare was to see 3 boars and a bear in legacy within 3x3 grid.

Also I could already feel the pain of people doing credo where Lynx or such thing have to be killed but it is nowhere found.
The world again seemingly feeling empty.

Now, at least doing nomad, I have to zig-zag without proper equipment / character, instead of just going in straight line and not seeing anything in miles.

They wheren't - instead you could be sure where you see one there was another not far away in the area ... same for bears

ok i had a situation in this world finding me trapped between 2 bear, 2 badger, a lynx and a wolf pack ... not to forget the midge squadron just coming around that moment ... but that was in a very quiet area ... in others i could walk 15 minutes and just see rabbits ...

i guess the "self cleaning" only works for poor foxes ... when meeting badgers or wolverines - i often watched others meet but nothing ... no lynx vs bear or such ... even badger and wolverine ignore each other ... changing that would be a better change than reducing spawn rates ...

on a sidenote: htf should the competitive combatters check their decks with less to try on ?!? ;)

The bigger issue would be that so many of them are useless.

Probably a good point to be made here that they could be tuned down.
