big slimes, big bats, big boreworms, different coloured slimes, killer glowworms, rock sprites, golems, rat kings, cave louse megazords and projectile shooting dark water serpents spread across lower cave levels in biome dependent zones when tho

Why though? Annoying just for sake of being annoying?
Amount of caveins is already annoying (need to repair support multiple time while mining out are it supports), adding unfair amount of slimes spawns just makes it miserable.

I think you are confusing the definitions of difficult and annoying.

DIfficult is what it should be considering it's the deepest level of the mine and all.
Annoying is current state where it's not really ''hard'' itself (just the rock but not the fights heh) but actually you give everyone cancer just because of the retarded mechanics.
Just spawn some boreworm whose stronger the deeper it gets.
Slimes and their cancerous splitting mechanic belong in minecraft or something, just let us kill something difficult coming from under the tile mined instead of trying to annoy everyone to death with spamming shitty mobs instead.

As a lowly player progressing through the levels I want the lower I go the more dangerous to become not more tedious. More trechearous encounters make sense for the better quality rewards. Honestly I think there should be "elite" versions of boreworms and shit with better quality and much stronger fights.

Already implemented (1-3 boreworms of hp ~2k) on top of slimes

Slime is the bigest trash in mining. I mine 10min and i have to stop bcs already killed 60slime and have 2/3of hhp and 50hp... Delet it from mining and only random spawn in cave.

I've found trolls less obnoxious than slimes. And I can't even kill trolls. Slimes just fuck everything up with sheer numbers/spam

I agree we need more mobs diferent stronger and less annoying D:, I was thinking on proposing to reduce a little spawn rate plus some mobs (boreworm and slime) can drop Gems from time to time, Gems are not that valuable anymore and at least Will give joy killing them, btw a rate of 1/30 maybe even less

It would make sense for a mob made of stone to drop gems (and maybe a unique type of stone). Boreworms and slimes should keep their normal loot I think.

The stone mob could look like this but made of rock instead of gems only:

They could be easily mistaken for normal rocks and would become aggressive when hit with a pickaxe. They could also spawn randomly when mining.
