winter, irl, is the same in game form. It makes me wonder how humans in the past had to deal with it. which is why I think that "Winter" is the Worst-of-the-Best. I think the game is taking a real approach to how life was like to what we have now in the future. Try to collect with what you can find before winter came so that you have food to spare. Also, keeping the balances so that other players will have a hard time getting stronger. Who knows. :?:

Well, we do have rabbits and squirrels in winter. Not a plenty, but maybe enough.

You're probably joking, but even in winter there are better animals to hunt (even for noobs)
I just wish hunting was more interesting than "gee you better move faster than this animal or you don't get shit"

There needs to be something, though. Especially for people who are early/mid in progression. I don't want to pay for sub tokens where 1/3 of the time I've purchased is wasted because I can't progress.

Which ones? For a naked character in clogs and with an axe and stats <10. Maybe in pants and a hat. Сhicken, hedgehogs, rats? Not much different, I named those two from the top of my head.

That's fine for a start. You have animals with different speed and have to chase them in different circumstances, including not running into something aggressive during that chase. Ah, and refilling water supply.

And here... we shouldn't have teleportation. If people are fine with constantly sending their supplies over the half of the world, or with relocating the whole base there and back each (real) month, let them have it. If they have a zone with different season in their realm at all.

In the real world there is no random inflow of new inhabitants. Of those ones who didn't have "before" to collect and prepare. To put it bluntly, existing individuals decide when to have, um, newbies. Either consciously or by instincts adjusted by natural selection.

So if we have really hard winter (I'm not opposed to it per se, and partially enjoy) it would be nice to protect newbies from being born into it. IDK, at least a sign on the main page "It is a harsh season in the game right now until Sep Nth. If you're new to the game, consider spending this time on forums and wiki not to get frustrated by highly challenging starting experience.
