One problem is that this locks you from progressing while you've just spawned and looking around for place to settle. Unless you're willing to build and abandon a new table+chair everytime you want to eat few berries.

Table and chair is only 50 stones, while wooden ones need one or two trees. Is this a big deal?

Well, if we're speaking about a few berries, it can be done so you'll get stats filled without using table + chair and hunger gain. Let's say, to a cap of 5.

Very minor thing. Think of the advantages that this brings, they are WAY larger than convenience of eating few berries to gain 1 perc during first 1 hour of gameplay before you have settled down.

Recipe for table and chair could be made cheaper or a new cheaper one could be added, that could be made from branches and bough.
New players do not even know what strength etc. are, so it's not an issue to them. Especially as there can be a quest which guides you to build a table.

Not only that, new players wont even realize their mistake of wasting huger bonus early untill later. That harms them alot currently. Such huge setback early translates to hampered progress for months of playtime in the future.

less logins more food efficiency. that how it intended to work.

but here is some feature: you can make unlimited amount of alts for hard , stat_independed jobs
wanna play 24/7 and eat at 300%, just get alts for every job (devs will thx you if you have 3 prepaid accounts instead 1)

anyway i dont see problem with food now. im just start new character eat at 75% food eff. have +20 stats per day.
here is alot of food, (fried/dried/spitroasted fish/meat => already enough for fill hunger bar at any level \\just use variety),

Game should not make you feel like you MUST have alts. Of course alts always going to be useful but current model actively punishes you if you try to do everything with one character.

agreed with the new satiations hunger really doesnt make sense anymore. either completely remove a way to lower hunger through ingame means to have its INTENDED mechanic back or just remove it.

hunger was introduced to give people that play less than hardcore grinders a way to catch back up but they also introduced a way for the hardcore grinders to bypass this mechanic by hoarding salt or just hardcore grinding quests. completely going against hungers core mechanic of being a catch up system.
see homo sexuality trending,. do not do that.

dont love topics "hunger punishes noobs, remove hunger" from hard grinder players.... looks like "my bots can do everything, except drop hunger"

wanna help nabs - make guide : "how to eat, how to reduce hunger, how to double your stats per week"
also alot of players dont understant how combat works, how armor works, even dont know about ctl+A map because here is no tutorial about it.

here is no statcup and hunger , satiations , food timers - one thing that keeps us from 999stats per day.
hunting via bugs also not good, but its better than oneshot trolls or nabs
we already have millions LP per hour (for top players! not for nabs), wanna same with food system?

i vote for everyone have 100 stats and have fun time with friends, intead tedium, grind, broken quests, winter, siege bugs
dont let PK players make unpunished bacchanalia here! it will help nabs alot
