This sounds like the type of trade off that keeps things balanced or whatever. I would not mind being able to mass remove snow but then have to replow. totally makes it worth it and makes sense.

git outtta here with your sensible ideas bullshit! - haters probably.

Give a man a game engine and he delivers a game. Teach a man how to make a game engine and he never delivers anything.

Why do you need to shovel your farmland in the winter?

Currently, it's spring, and you can plant crops. However all the fields are covered with snow that you need to dig out by clicking every single tile. (Granted that now significant portion of snow has already melt naturally, but this morning everything was covered.)

Right. I agree that there should be a mass dig command in any event.

Not so much the farmland, but anything not covered in snow still spawns forage items. The farming bit aside, and a good reason to allow a mass area removal of snow, maybe allow forage items to poke through the snow or something.

Just chiming in, yes, an option under landscaping to 'remove snow'. I don't care if eats tons of energy, I just don't want to risk misclicking while I clear my fields ready to plant them and ending up with dirt in my inventory and dents in my fields.
