I thought about disallowing drinking if you have pvp combat relations, but, uh, alt abuse won’t allow it. Just have an alt on your target chasing it and run with main without combat relations, so no.
Generally, this game has a lot of activities that require large amounts of energy. Scouting during first days, leveling the ground, chopping down trees, building a pali, mining, ect. Changing things that affect entire hafen just for a single pvp powergamer bully is silly. You’d better go make an alt bot carrying a barrel, riding a horse, following you! Don’t you solve all the problems that way already?

How about a big, nasty wound that removes stats and slows you down the more you drink in a short period of time?

Only if mining doesn't take absurd amounts of stamina. Nerfings drinks in general would really force people to use alts for mining, and most already are doing that.

Mining, lumberjacking, earth moving... yeah, stamina in this game is a pain in the ass. I wish I could come up with a real solution to fix these issues, but as marcus points out after you, making specific rules just opens things up for more abuse.

Ideally, stamina could be removed from the game as it exists. Nothing really slows its loss, and drinking (or sitting) is the only way to get it back faster. If you want to hamper people sprinting everywhere, then put some cool down timers in. You can only sprint or run so long before you need to slow down and take a breather.

Be nice to have stamina tied to your total character development. So that way labour alts won't always be king

Labor alts are a symptom of a bigger problem (the energy mechanic requiring you to screw up your FEP gains to do labor). Don't fix the symptoms; do something about the actual cause, instead. Linking it to 'total character development' will just lead to slightly more buff labor alts, specializing in precisely the things that affect stamina.

I'd like to suggest a solution here - give a village totem an aoe buff that reduces the amount of stamina spent on actions like digging/leveling, cutting trees and building, ect. for a limited period of time after the village is founded. As far as I remember the most stamina-draining actions were scouting, mining (should remain such, as it's not bound to 1 place, and can't be abused with such buff) and clearing space, paving and building a pali for the future base.

How about you just can't drink if you've been in PvP for the last hour instead of having the winner of a fight be whoever brings the more retarded amounts of water.

C'mon, just use your brain for like 2 seconds to figure out why that won't work. Think of it is a thought exercise.

So boars should kill every noob who I aggroed in the last hour? Swimming for an hour after PvP means you then have to sit at the shore for 20 minutes to Regen stamina? If you're ramming a wall within an hour of killing the people in a base you need to have chairs to sit in?

Actually retarded
