According to my calculations it takes 10 minutes with a stone axe to smash a fresh claim, easily doable with an alt and a bucket. While obviously yes getting your claim smashed is a fine reason to move i don't personally think it means you're in constant danger of being raided as, believe me, there are a lot of people with way too much time on their hands that would gladly waste a day of their lives running about smashing claims and then quit forever day 2 never to be seen and never to bother anyone again.
