Back to the thread, it might not be a terrible idea to put a "moderation approval" on the forum. Ideas outright rejected by jorb and loftar wouldn't even show up. Ideas they don't know about or have no strong opinion on, or ideas they like that need discussion, could be opened for public comment. Not sure how much this would decrease troll postings, though if they got annoyed enough by a single person and what are potentially "time wasters," they could send a message via short bans or even post restrictions across the rest of the forum.

I certainly don't think anyone other than them should be doing it, though, as we don't know their creative process. A terrible idea that everyone hates might spark some bit of evil genius for the next quirky game addition. (Just as long as it isnt' more midges.)

Small edit: part of me thinks this whole section could be shut down and little would change, but it'd mostly spill over to the Inn, which would be no different, or PM, and then nobody would get to see it and "comment." Best thing: just ignore troll posts.

Stupid idea.
Would result in bunch of large threads that contain 1001 different ideas which would make organizing them more difficult.

I was under the impression that "grab bag" posts are against the rules, but after double checking I think that's only the unofficial rules so to speak. Alternatively, we could have a megathread that's akin to "simple questions" from HDI where you can post and/or discuss simple ideas like "I want to eat frog eggs" rather than needing a unique post for each one.

The simple ideas grab bag thread might be viable.

Well let me tell you...
As I said earlier. Limiting postcount would only read to fewer, but large unclear grab bag threads with 10 different ideas strapped together.

You can use search function to find out that jorb opposes grab bag threads. Why? Probably because it's better to have 10 small threads with hopefully informative titles, than 1 big thread with many different ideas for organizing them.

And if you would limit replies, it would just lead to alt accounts and other circumvention.

If you think about my replies, they are pretty high quality when compared to other people's replies. Many people even in this thread post useless replies like "+1" often.
