Yea just to clarify, this is legit a thing that happens. It's so over the top retarded that it sounds like it's a troll but it's not.

Pretty sure it's not random, just buggy.

Edit: From programming standpoint, he could be using predefined sin/cos/tan table, and interpolate between it, that means speed can be as high as 52, which should be default for speed 3, and as low as 48 when it interpolates between points.

Right it's not truly random, although may appear so for normal people clicking around, as you can reproduce the same exact speed from stop given the same exact click offset, altho the swing seems to be much larger than just 4 units for speed 3. Which is where the abusable part comes in since if you can find a perfect offset that gives a higher speed than most people then you'll be set when running/boating away or chasing in that direction. With rowboating in particular it's fairly easy to max your speed compared to someone that's not aware of it and gets unlucky based on where they click.

EDIT: With bad implementation it could be around 5-10% error range, that means if speed is 52 at max, it can go as low as 46-47
