+1 to this suggestion.

Just remove permadeath and make KO much more punishing. It should be a mini death.

Not sure what should be done with murderous intent.

overly punishing loss will just mean everyone plays like even bigger pussies and thats the opposite of what literally everyone agreeing with this idea wants

How about the loss be different based on how you got knocked out.. knocked out by a fox, -1%, by a bear -5%, by another player -5%, by another player with murderous -10%, by another player when YOU have murderous -20%

The bigger CON, the longer you have to recover. Doesn't affect hunting much or noobs, should have some meaningful impact on rest. I'm not saying like months of healing, just to prevent coming back very quickly.

But they are exactly the same things.

If you get reward by winning, you don't get it by losing, thus you get punished for losing.


It's not the same, to a player, losing something typically feels worse than gaining something feels good

to me the harshness of this game was its selling point and to ppl saying it will just deter people from pvping- dude, speak to any noob right now, they ALL think pvp = perma death anyway

the reward of winning is supposed to be crushing your enemies

besides, wtf is the point of having a system where you get KOd if theres no downside other than a few wounds? Getting KOd is supposed to feel like the worst possible outcome, you have to really have fucked up to get KOd and therefore you should suffer the repercussions of that, which right now means u gotta sleep for 1 day to heal up :roll:

If you crush them then won't they just quit? Then there will be nobody left to fight.

One problem with rewarding victory is that it is easy for players to create as many faux victories as they'd like. I do think PvP wounds could be harsher though.
