Well yeah because when you buy swimming most people expect the outcome of that to be based somewhat in reality. People don't learn to swim, swim 10 feet and run out of energy and drown IRL.

Description of "swimming" skill warns quite harshly that swimming is dangerous. You don't even insta-drown but instead gain asphyxiation wound that surprisingly heals really fast.

Of course it's probable that MightySheep was referring to the good old "Knock them out in deep water and break their boat" -strategy.
