Then it would just be a bot/nolife competition to produce every kind of food. Basically legacy all over again without the need to run a drinking bot.

hard disagree with this entire thread, this is the proper level of balance imho. definitely impossible to say without seeing what very-best-ever table of the world will reach.

Symbel seems to be a bit too effective as well as a bit too fragile

One problem I have with symbel is that at the beginning it's so weak it's not even worth the effort. And later the high quality metal symbel seems overpowered. I would prefer if the scaling formula was changed so at the start it gives bigger bonuses which receive diminishing returns way quicker.

So that a new player has some fun and visible results from making the wooden table and cutlery, while the experienced player's feasting possibilities do not explode into the sky.

Also possibly reducing hunger bonuses and improving fep bonuses (because at higher numbers -80% hunger is way more powerful than +80% fep)

It doesn't feel to me like that is the case. Why would you care about -80% hunger if you have shitton of salt or a good enough table? Even if, I'd sacrifice the -80% hunger for +80% more FEP.
