inheriting discoveries in early game is not good, because they are very important LP during the first days. But after that, I agree that it is quite annoying if you lose them, maybe even the most annoying part in death of a character to be honest.. That you have to get ALL of them again to do ANYTHING.

My statement is within the confines of the discussion at hand. Inheritance is a thing that goes on all world, and I think most players that are actually bringing characters back from ancestors are probably going to prefer keeping discoveries rather than a few hours worth of study. Yes, a change such as this is going to impact the early game.

Will this get added? Doubt it. Took a while just to get the material accounts to speed the process along. Going by what I've seen on the forums and other discussions, those are preferred over trying to find items to get discoveries off of, so this request is really just an extension of that.

edit: I did look up the pearls, as it's been a long time since I've had spare to study. I recalled it to be 10k, 1 hour study time. They're only 5k, but still only about 1 hour. However, pearls are hardly necessary to hit that point within a few weeks of a new world.

Not only are you wrong, but now you're a big nerd.

Alternative solution: implement craftable object "Personal journal" or something like this i dunno that will store all the discoveries of one hearthling using it. Then another character might study it and get all the discoveries at once pretty much the same way you can transfer discoveries via parchments, but less tedious. And make it too expensive.

Wtf we couldn't reach that regularly in a lategame village with brick walls and q400 tools. We saw maybe around 20 pearls all world and sold most.

+1 to the OP because there's this retarded strategy were you suicide early world to gain LP form discoveries and eat a load of extra food. I add inheriting your hunger bar to this suggestion because fuck death being a positive thing ever.

Wait 10k an hour for one pearl exclusively or a full study? Either way, most village can't get pearls consistently.
