I've made a post recently where I found a 64q range in my ore, which imo is too big of a gap. It might be a nice thing if nearby light sources (eg. a lit miner's helmet, torches, etc.) could shrink the quality spread while also creating a cool/sensible roleplay mechanic for the lighting system.


i really just wished they found a way to make caves dark that prevents nightvision . i mean, with the amount of grafical glitches light has, i guess i shouldnt wish for an actuall use of light, but i want an actuall use of light, and have an reason too actually carry and torch/lantern insead of it being JUST an reusable firebrand

You're starting to get afraid of the dark...

Percentage of Perception and Masonry lost based on size of the wound.

Gained faster the deeper you go. WILL reduces the rate it's gained.

Heals QUICKLY when at surface.


Likely a bad idea, but throwing it here in case it inspires something better.

Its not such a bad idea, but there is no need to make yet another god damn wound. Perhaps it is time to implement system of status effect that dont affect your HP and aren't technically wounds. Many wounds and deceases can be remade into such status effects including your idea.

Cool idea maybe but I think the client supports what, 1 or 2 light sources or something? Maybe if you mine alone with mining helmet that has candle in it or such, but you cant light up mines in any too neat way.

And shit like this is exactly what I was talking about. 'Giving light a use in caves' sounds cool until existing gameplay is made more tedious to give lighting a gameplay purpose.
