lets people whale, conserves the economy between worlds so that 90% of everything doesn't cost sub tokens, removes over-saturation of subtokens in the economy, kills rich people.

all lovely things.

Tokens can be put pack into hearth fire? wow. Possibility to do so should be removed immediately! o.o

that is were the real problem is :D

Honestly I'm not sure why people want tokens, it gives you bronze tier sub for a month. But who uses the tokens???
It always confuses me.

I highly doubt they make much profit off of tokens at this point

I believe that 1000s of tokens have been bought 12 at a time over the last few worlds, but I would be surprised if they are sold many in the current state of the game
also, if there was a token-less server it wouldn't effect the sales at all because people who still want to use them could still use them

I'm against IRL money touching a game world at all. But I don't see tokens going away. And honestly I don't see what's wrong with just expanding sub tokens to cover all store purchases to give them more use.

There is absolutely no reason to make a tokenless server. The only two valid reasons to make something like this would be (from a developer perspective) :
** The game at the current state would bring " too much money " and the main server was overcrowded AND there would be high demand for server like that. Otherwise would make just 2nd server with tokens.
**As a marketing strategy.

Removing tokens wont bring you "noob friendly, pvp-less experience" because tokens don't bring fun, fighting/killing people does. People who want PvP would play on both servers and eventually move to one which is more crowded.

Removing subtoken trading will bring back real money trading.
No thanks.
The game's monetization is at a good enough spot.
They need to focus on adding modular building so haven can really take off.

Any of you have numbers on how many tokens are even bought? What if its just the same old ones circulating? Or maybe some people just hoard thousands of them?
How much devs even earn from the game? Not easy to figure out, albeit possbile.

I'm sure that there are other ways to support the game than to indirectly make it P2W on purpose. Yeah theres RMT and all that, but, removing tokens would not cause 100% replacement of token trade with rmt.

Game is p2w kind of like silver coins in salem, except that instead of AI merchant at town you will buy it from some player who has botted it.

Edit:
Maybe people could tell how many tokens they have received so some kind of average tokens bought per day could be deduced. I'd highly doubt if the amount of tokens bought a day would be even 10+.

whale blubber is very oily, could potentially be a slippery slope to rely on such individuals to monetize the game.

I don't see a problem with the tokens being tradable but I do believe it should be a one way trade though once they're traded it can't be traded again
trading Services is never a problem you trade a token for service or something you need so people that have families and a job can buy the stuff they need in the game the people that don't have a life at all and have a lot of free time but no money to get the game time they need I think it's a fair trade the system is not p2w is paying for convenience you're buying somebody else's services it's the best way to do it
it's the most secure way unless scummy way of doing it

it keeps the server is running the people that have the extra income to whale let them they're paying for it for everyone else
MMORPGs have always been pay to win even since their birth the difference is at the beginning it was going under the table moral gray area in a lot of credit card theft

This is a very "soft" way of P2W because tokens themself dont give you more power (ik they give you sub bonus but people who are serious about the game have it anyway and having tokens then means nothing) .
You are dependent on other people giving you what you want for your tokens and that is very different than buying something from NPC (from NPC you get at 100% rate what you want, with people you must haggle for it)

No there isn't much you can do other than P2W , this is the most effective way to make money so far as long as you don't make people too mad about it making them leave.

The second best i think is selling cosmetic items but i have doubts it would work very well because:
* The usual response from people whom i shown this game is "wow this game looks ugly"
* Its hard to see what you put on your character because he is small, compared to how it is in 3D MMOS
* If you cant see equipment people have on them that is a problem of its own
(I understand that i could be very very wrong about cosmetics so its definitely worth trying and exploring more.)
(could add decorative buildings for $$$ though and i wonder why developers don't do it yet)

The next best are probably : merchandise, sponsors, selling player data. The last two need you to be quite a bit bigger game than HnH to make any significant money.

I didn't see any other good methods yet that worked in other companies and that i think would work for HnH but feel free to give your suggestions.
