Depends on which ingredients actually have the effect to heal Bum Burn and how common/easy to acquire they are. Also the work to discover the ingredients and whether or not they stay secret.

From the perspective that "wound is intended part of the game design" the worst case scenario would be a world where elixir made from dandelion and clover heals Bum Burn without too severe side effects. The way attributes are rolled on alchemical ingredients may have fail-safes for something like that though. (For example it's not 100% random and it's made sure that no two ingredients perfectly match each other in their raw form.)

There's no good one as in they heal VERY slowly. Bum burn is in a good place right now imo, pepper topping is uselessish and we occasionally get funny posts when someone dies.

Just tell them to make the mechanic not dog shit. i.e. not a HPP wound, just some debuff that prevents further eating of pepper foods.
