If it impacts characters: people will have fighter vs crafting characters. This is already pretty common, not an issue if it was actually critical to do.
If it impacts accounts: people will have fighter vs crafting accounts. Multi accounting is an accepted standard in haven.
If it impacts villages: people will have dummy villages for combat characters that are fed materials as needed. We saw these in legacy, they are annoying but easily possible with current game mechanics.

It's too easy to separate the "good/neutral" activities in haven away from any kind of karma system. How do you deal a meaningful blow to PvPers sitting in a vault? You have to go after their actual "innocent" feeder village which will then punish you.

Lasting Karma doesn't work within the framework of this game.

(Also this is before we even try to define good vs bad actions, and how to handle the bazillion edge cases)

Show me that 90% of people, the fact that you associate and actively seek out people like these doesn't mean that they're the majority. From what I've noticed there's a fair 50/50 split for players like these. Just say that you're biased towards anyone PVPing and move on please.

Just reminding you that if this game wasn't designed for PVP and drama it wouldn't have so many PVP oriented systems. How would you feel if someone would want to delete the LARP aspects of the game? Enjoy the game as a whole.

dont think CS have 60 materials for paving and 60 wood types... and 199 crop types
dont think any PvP game has 27d cheese making process
if you call this a PvP game - why combat here so sucks? (1~2 weapon, 1~3 not balanced combat styles, unplayable UI on custom client, broken nidbanes)
imho here is sandbox game and few retards who love to crush sand castles

I mean, if you go out wandering and just count players you meet, majority of them aren't pvpers. Even pvp villages aren't fully made of pvpers, usually they harbour some pve oriented players who enjoy puttering around in safety. It wouldn't surprise me if the number of people who want this to be a pve game outnumbers the ones wanting pvp.

Which is funny because I'm a PvE player who believes PvP is central to any sandbox game. Means of resolving disputes, reason to consume (and therefore generate) resources to drive the play cycle, more interesting drama than pve name calling. People who pvp specifically to ruin other people's day and get enjoyment from it are the downside. And since it's a motivation thing it's pretty hard to distinguish griefing (breaking a newbies cupboards because haha fuck em) vs strategic pvp (breaking a newbies cupboards to convince them to move instead of killing them outright) in most cases.

its good part of the game, more ways to die more fun survival. but when here is no way to defend against retards = not good. only tedium helps nabs to live in peace... no karma, no working nidbanes, no chance vanilla clients to fight agains custom clients and nolifers with 9999 stats

Dude, I literally necro'd my main (not built completely as a fighter) yesterday to get revenge on someone who killed a brand new player (and get my cape back that this perpetrator some how got). And granted this guy was offline, but I would have fought him just the same.
