Hungers current system sucks, it just punishes people not eating the best food, not specializing characters, and not spamming quests/salt. The changes just make it so whoever spams those more have a bigger edge. At least this world it was fairly easy to have enough salt for your needs, now you'll have to grind a shit ton.

I would like my thread to be added instead though I'm not holding out hope

People have complained about the hunger mechanic continuously this world, more or less ever since it was created. People (notable pvpers, not plebs like me) also complained about the crazy stat gain due to whale products. Something you didn't mention, but jorb said whale spawn is going to be non/less spammable due to changing their spawning mechanics. Whale nerfs might even make a bigger impact even than reducing the 300% boost's frequency.

I don't think it's about the number of stats gained/week, but how they're being gained and why those mechanics aren't fun though. 300% still exists is due to making early game for new characters a bit smoother when non-minmaxers are eating literal trash off the floor. Jorb mentioned this as his reason for keeping 300% around.

I'm on ozzy's side here. FEP gained satiation per stat not overall would smooth out some of the bigger frustrations. Hunger staying but reducing the impact of 300-50% down to 125-75% would make it significantly less brutal.
