How is it? "gain 1000 experience points" is infinitely better than "wait 2 weeks to trigger an event for seeing a localised resource because you triggered it yesterday"

What planet are you on to think they are even remotely equal?

Because by gaining experience you lower cooldown for events? You can trigger localized resource events 10 times a day, if you wanted to, by farming enough experience, which is seemingly what you asking for anyway. If anything, with the current quests you have an option to "wait" instead of farming exp points, though it is kind of a long wait and I prefer to just go and complete some quests instead.

You can aim for these events. Experiences tend to "unlock" other experiences. Y'all need to make a zen garden for mystic.

I'm almost certain that some events are time gated instead of locked behind the random queue.

But even so, asking the player to literally do laps of "pick up a table, put it down, place a stockpile, drink from a cup, pull from a well, eat something, walk in water, walk over grass, see a cave, come out of a cave, click on a willow tree" over and over again until it pops is fucking stupid.

I honestly don't understand how you are defending this quest type existing.

What does this queue has to do with anything? Just go do some normal quests with exp for reward. <See X event> is basically equivalent to <Complete Y quests> where Y is based on the event and how lucky you are to get exp rewards out of quests. Is it non-trivial and you have tto spend some time doing it? Sure. But how is it any worse than <Harvest 160 cucumbers> or whatnot?

Since when were lore events gated by an exp requirement? Thought the devs had made it pretty clear that they are basically in a queue and can block each other from popping other than ones which are timed?

Since almost forever? I don't remember exactly, but I've known this and used in practice for at least 3 worlds, I think. I mean, you could do these events queues, since the events themselves give you exp, lowering the cooldown of other events, but normal quests simpy give you more exp, usually.

My suggestion was to gain certain amount of XP from Lore Events specifically, OR to trigger any event that gives more XP than threshold specified by the quest. (Not sure if the one-time Events like the Dungeon rewards should be excluded.)

Yeah gunna need dev quote on that one tbh. if that even is the case, literally NOTHING in the game conveys that information so in my books that is still absolutely no way to justify the existence of this quest type which is still hated by the majority of players. Would be nice if the devs had telemetry on this kind of data so see how often these are just abandoned instead of completed. i'd be willing to bet its over 90% abandoned.
