Explain to me in detail the methodology & math required to get optimal quality grow on farm animals. I am unironically willing to bet my nuts and my life you can't even get close.

The like argument to optimal play is a retarded and meaningless one, and you're a dumbass for bringing it up to try to justify everything you complain about.

The formula is available for anyone to see. What the OP is asking for is to remove the rng completely. I am not as frustrated with the speed and semi-randomness of animal q growth as the OP. I am agreeing with audiosmurf's sentiment more than disagreeing with the OP. Now just commence with your shit throwing.

I'm curious if people will guess snail's strategy. Reminder: Snail village had Q1000 sheep in W11, breeding mechanics haven't been changed since.

My favorite part about raising animals is that if you take a break from Haven they all fucking die.

This is way more of a Real complaint, I've always been partial to the solution of having a toggleable "hibernation mode" or whatever, similar to what happens in the winter. It would reduce by 1/2 or 1/4, or whatever a good number is, their food consumption, and probably cut production of materials like wool & milk to zero or near zero.

Anyone saying that the wiki can be used as a useful reference for breeding mechanics doesn't have a valid opinion on this

Base quality is the average of both parent's quality, socftcapped by the father's breeding. To this base a -5/+20 random roll is added.

Is this wrong? Has it been changed? Or are you here to throw feces?

That's wrong, and even if it weren't that's only like 1/15 of the variables you need for the formula to determine what to do with animals. I'm guessing you can't even identify what the other variables are.
