The fact that you're saying 5 notes + 10 guano is easy to gather for a small village means you're completely out of touch with what average players actually have/can get access to.

+1 for this

EDIT:
Make realm buffs as stack of all villages buffs in realm but weaker
Make crown authority drain dependent on amount of buffs
Add part of village authority gained to realm authority (0,5% maybe)

There should never be a negative to the realm for claiming over someone. The intention is to make generic players a resource for pvpers to care about, instead of just KO targets. Any negatives detracts from that aim.

No one talks about negatives - it is always a profit to gain more villages in realm because it will grant more authority and buffs. Decaying villages won't make problems for realm if it won't be too expansive for sustain and if all other villages will create enough authority to compensate this drain.

EDIT:
About current system of REALM BUFFS: it should be changed but not too heavily AND village centred mechanics need to be added
For example - buffs giving growth speed should be inacted by realms but instead of using idols and menhirs they would use things constructed by villagers and villagers themselves will grant a flat attributes and skills buffs to themselfs and kingdom (x2 to their own village and x1 to the whole kingdom)

also-also the average person who isnt aware, at least now, of how fucking utterly useless buffs are, is the same person who can't afford the 20 bars for a menhir. these days i think i unironically value silver roses over a menhir.

Are you telling me that the level one tree growth speed buff of 0.8%, which makes a tree grow to full maturity 80.64 minutes early, isn't worth putting effort into?

Ungrateful kids these days amirite.

B-but over 20 tree generations you could save an entire day's worth of time!

Or there's roughly a 5.4% chance you catch the tree gen before going to bed and start the replant 8 hours sooner!

About buffs to growth speed - it is good to have them but they don't worth that much effort to inact them
What is the goal of creation your own realm? Get more power. Why you shouldn't leave territory of this realm? Because it gives buffs.
If you want realm owners to stop killing all players on their territory just make it worse for them having low population
If you want make people who live in realms happy just give them buffs for living on the territory of kingdom

Why realm owners kill? Because they can and that's actually the only reason. Is it good to make it impossible to kill someone on their territory? No, it is worst decision - they just won't create a realm and won't use it.
What can be done about it? Grant MORE BONUSES FOR EVERYONE. More control over buffs distributed around villages (increase to skills for example that works x2 times better on members of village) and more buffs for kings and their kingdoms (x2 buff of their kingdom) and using powers of covered villages to inact true realm blessings such as growth speed and amount of foragebles.
