I don't think this is "make better barter stands". The global nature of the suggestion is really the key point.

(would very much prefer better barter stands tho of course)

Realm system can be enhanced in a nifty way, I think. We're on to something here.

-Remove realm chat as a given, make it an unlock
-Make a realm-wide auction house system another unlock
-further unlocks could reduce the resource cost of the auction house building that each player uses to access it, or reduce a marginal tax
-can be upgraded to access the chat/AH of bordering realms or something (read only / buy only unless both realms have the upgrade)

Core aspects of gameplay should not be tied to realms while they're as they are. I would unironically quit the game.

garbage idea, i am fundamentally against global auction houses. not just in haven. but in haven aspecially, an lot of your trading potential actually lies in convenience, or lack there off. it dosnt matter that someone 2 continents off massproduces double the quantity and quality of calvados, the fact that you can wagon that stuff too your local market, makes you an competitor there, or atleast that would be the case if you couldnt port to any location in the game you want too, thatnks too charters and thingwalls.

also pricedisparitys between locations and the fact that you can be ripped off /rip off someone, or be theoretically robbed along the way(quciktravel be damned) adds an huge appeal too an realistic and more cutthroat way of commerce, rather than just buying/sellin to the magical potionvendor inside your village.

So only autists playing game 24/7h should be able to trade? It's computer game not simulator. Riding wagon through forest for hours isn't fun so almost no one does that. If you are autistic enough to gain anything in current system then it's good for you, but being against something that will make everyone's playtime better makes you fool.

Let's sacrifice potential game growth boost for the wet dream of having local demand on something. Please.
Haven has very few items being demanded by all and consumable, which making 99.9% of player settlements self sufficient or avoiding usage of that items. Everything others are reproduceable and requires one trading deal per month.

Auction could open real trading capabilities and village specializations, region specifics and many other things, which can't be implemented because it will just cut gameplay.

i have never seen an game where an auctionhouse had any benefit, other than incentivicing players too do retarded sidechores to get there hands on stuff they want instead of working at getting the stuff they want. reducing the whole gameplay too an autistic stockexchange simulator, where your "miner" hunts hedgehogs for metal, and your "farmer" spamms riverpearls for better q seeds. especially in an game where the most used tradecommodity is an cashshop item-

its convenient, but it dumbs down the gameplay, by cyrcumventing the only interesting aspect of trading. logistics.
