A) Haven is a PvP game.
B) "About" -page, most likely place for new player who stumbles upon the website to get a quick overview of the game, does not admit it.

Siege isn't the only pvp you can get, go outside and slay the hermits until they all quit, then come back to cry dead world pls reset :D

There's a pretty legitimate case for no siege being good for the game. If Jorbtar wants to make stardew valley online he should go all in on that.

That said, for me the entire reason to do almost anything in hafen has usually been to get stronger/better/prepare to fuck other people over, or to prevent my team from getting fucked over. Why would I raise my stats right now? I'm not going to die either way, my village isn't going to get sieged either way, it won't help me siege somebody else. There is no consequence for being helpless.

The biggest difference between me having 400 stats or 10,000 stats rn is I will win maybe 5 extra fights over the course of the nexr year, where winning is just an ego thing and nothing consequential will happen to either party for losing. Even if I get into a fight with somebody I have no chance against I can just waddle away and not even lose the gear I don't rly care about.

Iunno, I need there to be stakes to justify the tediousness of actually playing. The stakes have always been kinda low, but this is the first world where I've rly felt like there are legitimately no stakes at all

I love drama and autism :oops:

I joined a few sieges where the targeted capital citiy or random village was completely burnt to the ground and the result isn't even always drama spread on the forums...

Now turboautists crying over their day 1, 3 sticks and a dead rabbit gone overnight is pure joy and we should get more of that please please, we find them, breed them and enjoy them.

Guys, the secret is to all gang up on those hermits during the first weeks.

Instead of fighting eachother at the start, we need some shubla-level autist to spawn in 5000 bots that scan the entire world for scrubs, and we do the cleaning. I know one autist that would be willing to do this shit manually lmao.

Problem solved. Next question.

fine make siege 24hours. But hey make it so stats only count for pvp up to 500. Stat grind for PvE can be same ;)

It'd make it less of a chore to play the game too.

You'll still be able to shit on hermits but less disparity between you and other half competent players.

I'm genuinely interested in understanding how pvp related activities have improved the game in any of those categories, if you wouldn't mind explaining please. Seems to me the way it goes in most worlds is that as the more active players get killed/harassed the player count begins to trickle downwards until the player killers end up getting bored as well.

I understand the need for aggressive actions as a means to an end, but in what way has any focus on that improved the game at all over the last several years?
