World resets in your opinion happen because at some point we cannot quickly rise quality up?

This world introduced a new mechanics that fundamentally changed how and at what speed we gain quality(great changes). The Aim of the developers for the game is to remove the need for resets.

The new mechanics made the curve on progress have a sort of cap(something we didn't have before). It grows slower and slower till the point we are reaching. estimated that the best anvil would peak about 700ql before the workload and eventual lack of high ql feldspar makes any progress unrealistic at best (in previous worlds with metal crit we had it 4k+ anvils). Now the new system is far better balanced and the game is more competitive and fairer for it as it solve the biggest problems with the old system.

Now we have a new ones, the access to good enough feldspar a growing need for higher and higher ql. More mine holes soves this and offers a permanent solution to several problems related to mining limitations such as feldspar and the eventual lack of need to raise tools for their purpose, such as pickaxe or strength for mining etc.

I see no reason to ever limit the depth of mine levels in the game now that we have the systems in place that balance it out.

TLDR: More layers adds quality and solves Mining related limitations; offers reasons to keep making better axes, grow strength etc.

They aim for no resets, but went out of their way to make a cap to the once "infinite" system? Its okay jock, ill let your therapist know you're hallucinating again.

We sure do. It's a distant goal, but a goal nonetheless.

Alright fair enough, but my point about the step "back" from infinite growth still applies though.

I thought it was a good change.

Adding more mine levels wouldn't be on the same level as pre-mold crit, especially with the timer system in place. It would just ensure we can progress forever over time. More mine levels also don't mean you go down and suddenly find new best stone, sometimes it take a while :D

Mine levels could also be a method of checkpoints for the world to mark surface world increases.

world reset is objectively good
if you don't agree you don't play the game

I think resets are inevitable but the ai should be to have the game feel good for as long as possible before world resets become mandatory due to players being unable to progress at a pace that is enjoyable.

starting fresh is why vast majority of the playerbase plays the game (like 1000 people at least are always online after world reset), while quality progression is liked by the 150 players always staying up to the end of current world

we should just embrace the world resets not quality progression etc
