You don't need alts, you can also just establish a cult of personality and tell other people what to do! I guess that's not a perfect workaround, though.

The hunger system doesn't seem to be working as intended, that's the main thing. It's just confining those interested in optimal play to weird strategies. Though for those of us who aren't stressed about numbers and whether they're going up or not, it's not much of an issue.
