Been suggested like dozen times, with current hunger/cooking mechanics it will only make game harder without any intention.
It still can be implemented in a good manner, with rework of cooking, hunger and satiation stuff, with spoilage food tiers where simplest ingredients decay in days, prepared food in weeks, and high-end foods or preservation recipes in months.
With this change focus of variable stats and crazy combinations should shift to focus on food preservation and processing.
It could also make people manage their stocks in a proper way, instead of hoarding entire cellars with meat or other ingredients they will not use until the end of world.
Anyway, like I said, adding this just as is will be just a chore, and I doubt devs will ever venture any significant hunger system rework.
