That said, I've been running something of an experiment with new players where I've made tons of food and put it in a market stall where they can trade 1 ql1+ branch for it. They've barely eaten anything, and when they do it seems to be at my prompting. I am not sure how interested the "average" player is in pushing progression at all outside of very gradually. There's a lot to handle in HnH, and pushing character progression may be overwhelming to people who are just trying to figure out the basic systems. It's certainly possible to have a claim up very, very, quickly. Less than 1 hour. But you need to know what you're doing.

So not every player is sweaty speedrunner. Some like me are playing to larp more than catch the grind. Little things like this made me play this game since 2011.
