You don't want to stop an issue, by creating a bigger issue.
Selecting continents would be a kind of solution, but it's not good enough.
Maybe an option to teleport to new continents for new spawns for the first 24 hours(with a 1h cd), by right clicking your hearthfire, and selecting change continent. That would be comprehensive enough.
