You can definitely get some nice gilds out of it, though that is a rather rare occurrence. The LP/XP is not that bad really especially in the early game when like 1k XP here, 3k LP there, every once in awhile is fairly substantial and those rewards do seem to grow somewhat as "quest progression" goes further.
However, they STILL have not fixed the issue of getting out-of-season quest tasks which I find incredibly annoying and the quest tasks and rewards are never scaled appropriately. You're being asked to hunt and kill things on a character that has no points in unarmed/melee combat/marksmanship, or you're lighting fires and swimming naked at 500 unarmed. Apart from the only difference being in how far you have to travel between quest givers (which I wouldn't say is a positive to questing either), there's no feeling of advancement no matter how many you do.
5000 quests later and ultimately you're still just walking an hour to wave at Bumblebooger or whatever for anything ranging from 50 experience points to 1000 learning points, gilding rock dex +1, a board left lying around, etc. Maybe the reward will be better, but there is absolutely no guarantee that the reward received will be worth the time and effort invested.
