Don't be an idiot. Buckets as they are now are completely worthless, and there's nothing a bucket can do that a barrel cant do better.
This would actually give a purpose to buckets, though I would rather scythe become 1 handed as that's the easier fix.

It seems you people didn't understand what I meant by that message lmao.
I want buckets to be improved, like all of you. I just predicted that jorb will instead make something else worse, instead of improving what we asked to be improved. This would not be the first time it happens.

What's an issue in this case? What are the pros of using buckets instead of other containers? I mean, what are we trying to fix here exactly?

Welp, carrying full buckets on your belts doesn't sound very convincing. I don't often see such a thing in real life. Are you sure we are not getting a little bit too greedy here?

It's not an issue, it's an alternative. We like buckets, they're a one tap item instead of 4. But making buckets occupy 1 slot on a belt was OP. This is a nice solution that still allows waterbelts to function and compete in the same system while allowing more options and variability. Bucket holds less, a little convenient, no clicking 8 waterskins unless you MAX WATER.

Let me know the next time you see a troll, or Swedish man on peyote drawing penises in real life. There's no need to beef with this idea over viability or realism, it's a solid idea.

Nah, buckets shouldn't go on belts at all. Yeah it'd be hugely convinient but that's the payoff for the range and capacity. If you could sip from that thing at will, it'd make any two handed task trivial.

All tool items should definitely retain their regular inventory size, however. A belt shouldn't be hanging with every possible tool of industry. Force a little roleplay, it'll make the game more fun. Those who don't like it probably run scripts anyway, so fuck 'em.

I picture someone with even one bucket, much less several, on their belt trying to walk around, lol.

My complaint with buckets is since our inventories are space limited, not weight limited, it makes no sense that we can have an empty bucket in inventory, but put one seed in that bucket and it must be carried by hand. A bucket is the same size whether empty or full.

"...a massive cooking QoL boost."
My proposal for this would be a "kitchen" space. This could be designated by a certain paving or a hearth magic giving tint to the space, and would cost something to create. It would be adjacent to the fireplace, anything on that space - crates, barrels, chests, stacks, etc. - would effectively be in your inventory when standing adjacent to it, so you could stand there and cook many items without having to constantly stop and run around for more ingredients. An empty crate or chest on that space could receive cooked items. An alternative would be to designate a building as a cookhouse, with a fireplace inside (perhaps an actual fireplace with mantel, andirons, and logs ...q of those could contribute to food), and anything in the building would be cooking inventory.

Tbh it's pretty crazy how controversial this weird QOL suggestion is. This is not what I expected to see people arguing about lol.

But yeah I think basically everyone missed your point - Concern that devs may inadvertently harm QOL with an odd implementation.
