Yeah im just throwing ideas cuz what J&L imagined was a beautiful game, but reality turned out to be much different and I cant understand why just not abadon parts of game that are not working and throw in some stuff that will benefit game in long run ...

Snail will be snailing no matter how hard you try to fight him, but there is always point in this game where all hardtrys are leaving and you finally have a community of 30 ppl who would actually enjoy this "social mechanics" but they are left with abadoned world meant for 2000 bots. Why not make this 30 ppl become hunderd and keep game alive all year round. Winter for hardtrys, summer for hermits or smth.

And btw - real life social mechanics align perfectry with events, how tf you meet people in rl, you run thru fuckin forest naked for a week before you encounter pali and you wait there another week until someone pops up on minimap ?

There are plenty of events to participate in—dungeon clearing, mammoth hunting, whale hunting, and gathering local resources. Additionally, you can complete quests and disrupt your neighbors' gameplay. There's always something to do.

It would be great to know exactly what doesn't work in this world. For example, why not abandon the permanent death mechanic since nothing seems to stop griefers anyway. I'm not against dying permanently, but it's one reason why this game can't develop properly.

Just by Lofthar's decree, forbid heаrtlings from killing each other, leaving only deaths caused by animals or water. Or possibly eliminate it altogether.

We could bring back battering rams, old sieges, allow horse battles, remove visitor gates entirely, and all other ugliness and constraints whose sole purpose is simply to prevent gankers from killing newbies.

"...forbid heаrtlings from killing each other, leaving only deaths caused by animals or water."

That's what I've long espoused. There are enough ways to get killed in this game without worrying that any other player you encounter will kill you for no other reason than you exist. Friendly interaction with neighbors, trade between villages, cooperative projects, more exploration ...instead of hiding inside palis and only talking in chat.

So, does killing someone replace a ban in regular games? But then killing noobs and random players is the same as getting banned in regular games. Someone logs in and gets banned for no reason, whether it's the next day or three months of playing.
