Because every structure in the game being handbashable by a 10 stat new spawn character would be stupid

These needlessly complicated mechanics are probably why so many new players keep dropping the game. People play to have fun, they don't wanna have to pull out a calculator IN LANDSCAPE MODE and do some boring math every 5 seconds.

Wouldn't be an issue if buildings had higher HP or non-siege weapons did less damage against buildings.

You jack up the HP of all houses and suddenly people will be complaining about how you misplaced a house and it takes too long to remove, etc etc. It's not a one dimensional problem.

It wouldn't with a siege weapon. It's comical to demand people should be allowed to destroy walls and houses with their bare fists.

Add something like the Smart Alarm from Rust so you can get a notification on your phone when crimes are being committed on your claim while you are offline.

Legacy had this and it was mad annoying because it would do it for like every single scent
