As for moving shit out, that's fine. Gives the attacker a chance to intercept those carrying stuff out. Or at least doesn't make the items technically untouchable.

I disagree on on your point and it'd completely screw over key alts thus a troll could break into your base and steal all your keys and swap out your locks for their own. That said, your idea is complete shit

I agree completely. This is a game about permanent consequences. There should be no easy outs.

I propose the ability to summon someone into their hearth fire if they’ve been online in the past hour. Though IG dropping everything in your inventory when you logout could be even better.

The only people who'd like that change are cowardly terrorists who are too afraid of the RL consequences of acting on those desires.
Everyone else will HATE it and it will make the game even more than it is now.

Yeah, consequences are important, for too long did the PvPers avoided them. You should be able to use scents to instantly kill the character who committed the crime! Crime = punishment = death. No easy outs.

On the topic of the alt vaulting. I don't really think it's an issue. Most people only use them for master keys. In my opinion it should simply be possible to safely store keys in your hf instead.
In case of siege people usually move the things away anyways, and there are ways to do it safely, so nothing really changes.

It does make it untouchable you cannot intercept it, you make an alt with hf outside and if the alt gets into your village they can just port out with the items. Or just have a charter that you can port alts to then port back to hf with 0 risk.
And for the second one why don't you think for 10 minutes and read what i said well. You have alts INSIDE your main village that's getting sieged but their hf is OUTSIDE of it in a vault, so what if they stay logged in, you can just port them to their hf if there is any risk of getting sieged. It's not like having items in a different place, you can literally have 20 alts sitting in your main base and port them whenever they're in danger and otherwise function exactly the same as an alt with the hf inside the village.

Also holy shit this is such a made up issue why the fuck am i even effort posting about it. When did you experience altvaulting in a way that impacted your gameplay because it's not REALLY a thing since fucking legacy.

Edit: and i swear to god you fucks will ruin any QoL we have just to fix a not real issue, yeah just stay logged in all the time like redhanded now great fucking idea, now if i have to go take a shit during my 8h knarr voyage i can choose between having someone log in onto my acc, port back or risk getting fucked while i'm afking in the middle of nowhere even without redhand.

We've been developing and here's what's new...

In order to solve the real issue of alt vaulting:
    All characters are now permanently present in the world regardless of outlaw status.

This. First time I'm hearing this as being an issue.

Moreover, the infrastructure was and still is the most valuable thing any village has.
What on earth can be saved on alts to allow you quick recovery after your base is razed to the ground?
In 99(?) of 100 cases people experiencing a raid just quit.

To prevent alt vaulting: when your pali first cracks, all offline hearth fires inside the p/v claim get nuked, and the associated characters along with them. Solved!
