Hypothetically if I join as a new character on w16 and encounter a player that has 1k+ stats and has been playing a year+ at this point am I ever going to get to punch at all? The current dynamic is unrealistic. If you fall behind whatsoever you're fucked.Sevenless wrote: PvE does not mean players can't hurt each other, it just means whoever punches first is the only one who ever gets to punch.
EVE absolutely has optional PVE areas. People live their entire lives in high sec and never once venture into null, it's a completely option part of the game if you're not interested in experiencing it. There's so many "instanced" PvE situations they've added you're either not an active player or you're just not aware of them.Sevenless wrote: Also: lol at "every single successful mmo has a pve shard". There are plenty of successful MMOs which do not offer PvE servers. Albion online, EVE online, Foxhole to name a few.
Foxhole is a third person wargame, inherently PVP; Not a survival simulator with PVP elements.
