What if all meteors always fell on the same continent for the entire world and which continent that is would be known on the character creation.
I don't know for sure how beneficial it would be for each faction to be settled on the meteor continent or not, but at least they would all know the one continent that differs from the others, and that would perhaps be considered the continent all willing to fight factions would spawn in? Idk

It doesn't have to be that ofc, maybe general quality on the cool continent would be favored slightly? Maybe realms can only be started on the cool continent? idfk

Honestly, a part of me would like to see what happens if all players were forced into a small map with no sea at all.
If World 16.1 and onward are meant to be experimental worlds, I think trying something like that could be interesting.

The important pillars of haven PVP are:
  • Bashing people's walls in the first 3 days of the world so they're obligated to fight you
  • Exploiting an ambiguous if it's a bug or not mechanic to raid some plots in a 50 man village
  • Leaving a billion scents everywhere from bullying hermits
  • Tracking the scents from the other retards bullying hermits and trying to kill them
  • Running into another guy killing bears in a snekkja while you're also killing bears in a snekkja and the loser of that interaction not getting to keep their snekkja full of bears <- (this is the best 1)
  • Trying to gank a crafter outside of some bigboi's village and then running away if you think you won't win the fight, or going to their walls to call them faggots if you think you can win the fight

There have been many attempts to add random LARP shit like realms that absolutely nobody cares about to PVP, but the above is what 99.9% of "good" PVP is comprised of. Meteor is cool like 0-3 times per world, I guess, but that's just an extra treat not the meat and potato.


I don't think I will naturally run into a bear hunter from a real village a single time this world. Everybody is just too far away for that.

the oceans are much too vast, the seas between should be more like great lakes. it's just massive empty dead air. it'd be dead air regardless, the odeeper filters movement.

the world is a bit too big. remembering the inverse square law, slight tweaks to the world size have huge impacts. doubling it is 4xing it.

That's good to know but the main point I was trying to make is that if a continent differs in ways other than it's name and size, maybe that can eventually become the consensus where the faction bois will want to spawn. I also named other points that could make it attractive for factions but it's all just my guesses.

Fair, but it kindof seems like it'd be easier to just have 1 spawn continent for the people who want to play an MMO instead of figuring out some convoluted way to 1 real option and 2 fake options

P.P.S: it is also extremely hard to gank people after the 90 minute loading screen to get there because in most cases villages with 50 people typically still only have like 8 with rage

The size of the continents this world wasn't far off the size of the central spawn cont from last world. The issue is probably more that every non-spawn continent unlocked day 1 due to ocean shenanigans and the population is 1/2 what it was in w16.
