I'm fairly certain smoking bees in w16.1 has had the same timeframe changes as everything else. feels a lot quicker than 15 mins.

Hermits are choosing to play the game on Challenge Mode on purpose of their own free will, and then never shut up about the consequences of their decision and I'm tired of it. Playing the game wrong makes it harder??? Waow

I am not lying, but even if I posted a screenshot I imagine you still wouldn't believe me, just get more skeps its easy man, just raid every beehive you see, pyres take like 7 mins just do some loop and come back to it. Also at this point in the world you can just take bees or kill them without pyres.

There are many ways to get wax but it's true that they aren't properly communicated to the player, still, if a player doesn't know that, they are probably also not aware of what is locked behind the minehole.

Huh... Maybe add a beginning of beekeeping quest where one of the goals is to produce wax somehow?

Or finding and playing this game is super fun until a nerd slaughters them for no reason and doesn't even take the hides. What do you have against new players you scumbag.

I hear you, but I actually have the opposite perspective—I feel that reaching the Hard Metal age could even be delayed further.
In my opinion, the game would benefit from stretching out the "Stone Age" and "Bronze Age" before we jump into Iron. It feels more rewarding to build a civilization out of clay, bone, and stone first. Ideally, I’d love to see the primitive era last at least a week, or perhaps longer for a solo player.

Since Haven is an open-world PvP game, I think it’s natural for the difficulty to be balanced around teamwork and cooperation. If the progression were designed primarily around hermits, the game would likely become too easy for organized groups.

You guys stick too much to VDZ's statement about wax, it's not about it at all.
Yes, you can farm it much easier now, but the whole idea is that 70 to 80 percent of the game is locked behind lvl2 mine construction.
If you play alone - you gonna need at least 2 full evenings of your gaming sessions to prospect, build, mine and build your first anvil, and without that, as VDZ mentioned, you are mostly squirrel/rabbit eater.

I know you can get stats without sausages, I know you can even kill bears with obsidian/higher quality flint knife, but it's nothing do to about general idea: in early world entire game is locked behind hard metal.

The whole point of the change was to timegate content.
