nidbane needs armor so it doesnt die to 1 swing

Nidbanes should just come to you and give you a wound no fight involved.
Just buff or debuff the wound accordingly to make it balanced.

Maybe it would be a bit tricky to enforce it implementation-wise, but it sounds like a good idea.
Anything that buffs nidbanes would be a good idea, actually, because they're almost completely useless now.

Maybe they could be stronger depending on whom the crime was committed. Killing an alt could then generate a much weaker murder scent than killing a well developed character.

rn they are kinda like glass cannons they hit rly fast and high openings but die in 2 hit, if u panic I could imagine someone spamming defences and getting killed

but while the cheese of door hopping exist that never happens. So I just wanna see how it goes when people are forced to fight before deciding if buff is needed

Counterpoint: trading some pieces of wax and metal to hurt people is dumb and should've been scrapped when it was just an idea in jorb's head. Having to log out out next to a horse or vehicle because some faction is spamming 5 nidbanes on any scents they find as often as they can would be stupid.

Changed my mind, spamming nidbanes on people would be pretty fun if they were actually dangerous/annoying.

I enjoy nidbanes though. Its fun to send them and its funny to recieve them

I actually like nidbanes. It created some pretty funny moments back when they first came out and you'd occasionally see one wander through your town towards you or even just on their way to another village. I think they should be made stronger, deal out a more lasting punishment if they actually fuck you up and give the person who sent it a small reward if they do enough damage or something. I'm also not really positive how this part of them works, but the stats on the nidbane are affected by the quality of the fetter which I think just makes nidbanes essentially useless to the people who would be most likely to use them (hermits who got bullied).

Nidbanes should leech stats to the owner.

Sure someone might probably setup a farm leeching 10 stat alts but meh.

I hope my question isnt stupid but it might be.

I have very littler experience or knowledge of how Nidbanes work so im gonna ask anyways.

Upon reading the wiki, I see that a Nidbane scales with the players stats times a number depending on the crime.
Now lets say the person had like 150str 100agi 100con and they left say an Assault scent? Would that be 150 x 0.6 = 90 and then you add that 90 to the 150 to get 240? or would it just be 90?
