I'm just putting this here again as it would literally be a solution to griefers, keep pvp for all you pvp tryhards, and make the game a little more fun for the rest of us that don't want to just die for taking a walk at the wrong time.

Stop fucking up the thread with shitposts already and come with something constructive. Toxic is such an overused word but fuck me if this community doesn't have some toxic members.

It seems like murdering the factory workers producing all the good quality weapons and armor is an important part of the PvP game. You'd need separate PvE / PvP servers, I don't see any solution for co-existence of opt-in and opt-out players.

Yes, you can just make a PvE server, on which palisade and klaym dry for a month in real time, and traspassing is always on.

I'll have to make this thread again during a smarter time when there are more active people in the community available to have a say.

Sadly the game-ruining player archetype are the loudest voice at this time of the world, with only a few active members they are derailing threads they don't like and manipulating the devs with ease

My opinion, and that of others you think are derailing this thread, are the literal opinions of the devs: Without pvp, griefing is too easy and would require moderation.

The only argument attempting to counter this point is that this type of griefing is already possible now, or that pvp is somehow worse griefing. This is just not true. Creating systematic ways to prevent griefing is incredibly hard. You would need active moderation, and even then it would be hard. You can spin up 20 bots around someone's claim and just have them spam pclaims around, or build palis, etc., and there's no counter without pve. The problem isn't fully statted characters, it's the fresh alts.

You can't just ban the bots without significant effort on bot-detection or active moderation. There's no easy way to distinguish a vpn'd bot from a real human.

Also, PVP is not the problem you think it is. The problem is a) people not being able to properly secure their palis/claims; and b) people freezing up when attacked instead of running and defending. If you care about people dying, attempting to replace pvp with pve griefing is nonsensical. Improve the state of pvp / claims etc. such that people don't get fucked by not knowing the mechanics.

Those parts are completely wrong with the suggestion I posted that you just called stupid. Clearly you didn't even read it or understand it then :) Good job there!

I just posted a new idea for this PVP related stuff for both PVP and PVE players, called Surrendering.

Pretty much it gives an idea to surrender to the aggressor (only usable in combat with a player) as an alternative to dying and losing nearly everything. You would drop all items in your inventory, belt, equipped etc, as well as give your aggressors all un-used LP to them, and you would teleport to your hearth naked, with a 5min immunity to PVP and cannot engage in PVP, and a 50% stat debuff for 1 week or do quests to shorten the debuff timer, and you wouldn't be able to surrender again for 24 hours. You can still die by not surrendering and die if engaging while it is on cooldown. This will make not needing an "opt-in" feature un-needed and should accommodate for what PVPers want and non PVPers want in some way.
