Why would you monetize a videogame like this?

I used to dip in and out of haven, and was actually pretty hyped about the launch, but wow, there's no way I'm paying for game time like that.

You guys need to just get your game on steam for a one time purchase. Or keep it free like haven, with permanent cosmetic purchases (e.g. TF2 hats).

This is how scam mobile games are monetized, I thought you guys were better than this.
