Can someone enlighten me what a verification token would verify, exactly ?

I get it that buying a verification in a shop devs get some transaction number which in theory (that is if law enforcement is actually compelled to act) would identify a bank account owner. Or maybe not because in theory in some scenarios this can be paid with prepaid phone balance, though I did not manage to actually pay that way, and I did not really bother to investigate.

My issue might be only a naming issue, but still, there is one.

It would verify that the account owner has put a bit of money towards the developers and thus is eligible for the boni (increased inventory, convenience, learning speed and access to Legacy while that lasts) that are the perks of a verified account.

That is the current state. I was asking what would it verify when it becomes an ingame item that can be transferred by means of trade, theft, scamming, blackmail, etc.

That's a cool idea but im 100% sure if that was a thing then there would be no other trading than token trading, game would be 100% pay2win then for hermits that can't gather anything valuable cuz their quality sucks

These statements contradict each other. I was not asking what it would give to the account that is using verification token because that is well known. I was asking what would be verified in this case, because certainly it would not verify account owner identity nor the fact he is a true customer. Would calling it "verification" still made sense? It should be just "paid, permanent account upgrade".
