:oops: idk about you guys but I've kidnap aloud of people in past worlds, I tell em death or follow us. once their at our city I tell em to remake their fire.
But working out a real system would be hard, I do see.

So the main problem seems to be that fact that if kidnapped you cant spawn your new char at your kidnapped chars hearth fire. Couldn't there be a option to simply commit suicide while tied up? That would fix the problem and no longer be "denying" players the right to play the game.

Isn't that choice entirely up to the person who is being held hostage? They could live as slave or die / create new char.

I think most people would rather live than lose their characters.

As long as kidnapping isn't worse than death I don't necessarily mind being able to capture folks.

Im sure there could be a way to ensure its not, i for one would rather tie up a thief i ko'd and leave him in a field far away instead of killing him so he at least doesn't get my murder scents. :)

Allow an option to suicide at all points as a failsafe
