If they destroyed your wall, chances are it wasn't a wall-jump. You need a ram to destroy a brick-wall.

I know this argument will never end, but its getting really fucking old..

Jorbtar dont care about bots, players use bots, other players dont care, and others want them punished.

The argument is that players want action against bots, but the rebuttal is that we dont want Jorbtar to waste time on anti-bot mechanics, the counter is to hand the nuke power to the community, the next counter is fuck no.. because that power would be abused.

You people need to understand how pointless this argument is, not only would you be wasting dev time, you would be fighting a war YOU CAN NEVER WIN..

Bots will always be a part of any game that can be botted, and no matter how much you try and get rid of them, they will always find a way..

Just out of curiosity;

What are the biggest negative effects that botters have on the gameplay of others?

Unfair combat advantage? combat bots?
Finding natural resources that should have been found by other people?

All of this. Plus faster q rise of crops, cattle, and an endless stream of curiosities - all without any effort (apart from writing the bot in first place, but since that is software applying it to another character is free).

I understand this, but what effect does that have on other people playing the game? Direct or indirect~

Does someone else having higher Q stuff than you, make you not want to play?

After they came by and leveled your settlement: yes.

So the problem isn't exclusively botters, its the fact that people better than you can destroy your hard work?
I suppose it could be argued that botters are more easily able to "level a settlement", but ultimately they still have to go through the same motions as everyone else.

I feel like botters are made out to be some kind of boogy men, that will get you in the night when you are sleeping. No one ever mentions what they are actually doing that is ruining the game for others. Its just vague statements like yours.

If you could define more precisely how bots are effecting the legit players, then effort could at least be spent in the right place to limit that interaction. Instead of some pointless nuke them from space attitude.

If the issue is that someone, somewhere in the world is doing something you (and many others) don't agree with, but doesn't actually effect you. Then I think there are probably more important things that could be tackled first.

Bots don't sleep so they are capable of working 24/7 as long as the electricity for the bot user remains. You can run as many bots as your system can handle remotely. Chinese Gold Farmers have a lot of towers, each running a bot and while it is not as likely, someone can potentially have several towers, each running several towers. All of these factors increase the amount of work done exponentially.

I know this is a bit of an exaggerated example but this gives perspective of the fact that anything you can do, bots can do many times over especially if you are someone that has take classes or have to go to work.

The majority of games do have bots but are not allowed as not many game developers are going to say "We welcome bots with open arm". Although, one thing you are correct on is that the developers, as far as I know, aren't going to take active role against bots despite as much as we want to. Doesn't mean that they like bots though.

There are a lot of anti-captcha services in the internet

I'm sorry, please provide evidence of that. According to the main website of CAPTCHA and numerous other sources, current programs cannot solve it yet. So you think some kid sitting in his room making bots for a video game is gonna work so hard to achieve it?

Not yet, as stated above.
