Random murders have no deterrent, nidbanes don't work to stop people so it still happens anyways. I remember not long ago big baby raiders cried about auto hearth because they couldn't kill anyone, well guess what happens when you take away someone's safety net? They just stay inside their walls instead. Is that more fun for you guys when everyone just hangs out inside their walls?

That's the type of game you've created over the years, world 3 was a great world with just the right amount of politics, warfare, trade, interaction and crime to keep things interesting and it worked because there were people that wanted to be criminals because it was fun, not because they enjoyed random killing of spruce cap but because there were super powers around trying to stop them.

First one to get char good enough to bash brickwalls would raid everyone and then theres only 1 player online.

I would instantly quit if they add ability to bash brickwalls in short amount of time. Theres no point of playing if anyone can just bash in and destroy all shit.

Brick bashers allowed some notorious criminals to be punished but that's not what solely created the state of the world. When has another faction stepped up like Sodom did to help punish the criminal offenders? Every world I played after 3, friendly rangers tracking scents for justice started to dwindle to a point where no one can even get any help on the forum any more.

Brick bashers wouldnt be used for punishing criminals.

Exactly my point shubla, I'm not saying brick bashing should make a come back because it shouldn't but what powerful faction do you know of this world or past worlds would have been willing to perform a service like that?

I don't think there's even a way for *any* hypothetical game to have decent social dynamics with a playerbase as toxic as ours.

It's only a small section of the player base that are 'toxic', the problem is that there are no clear distinctions between criminal scents and rangers leaving scents, both are punishable by the same measures. Thus making no incentives to from a group to carry out 'justice'. And then there is the issue of 'justice' in it's self.
