You're a foolish person if you believe thats who's talking about this. I've been here since world 3, my characters have certainly started higher than that, and we've definitely reached End Game content as you call it.
Why would we want this? Because it keeps the power structure in the game fluid and dynamic when giants can be toppled, and there is no ivory tower.

With an arbitrary stat cap of 100, it would be easier to create alts to go to war with. (And allow a bigger part of the player base to do it).

Then why have stats at all? Why not just give everyone the same base stats from the word 'go' and obviate the point of death altogether?
