QQ moar. Fun mechanic, would love to do more like it, also there's both Kindle and Flint & Steel if you really can't be bothered.

eheheheh :D He can even add a proper skill to be able to light a fire. "Quest for fire"....without this skill you are only able to steal the fire from others players and try to keep him alive... :D

P.S. There is a skill for Swimming, why not to start a fire? :D

Jorb, have you watched that Movie: "Quest for fire"? I suggest to you....

Maybe feature where you can place tinder materials into the Fireplace inventory grid to make the fire start faster (and more likely as the firebrand duration is randomized.)

I honestly don't understand why anyone is even using them anymore ... esp now with the kindle magic, I have two fires and all my baking, metal production is built around them, I light one using kindle magic at the start of every play session and keep it burning throughout, if I need to light anything else it's just a few steps away with a torch, if you don't have a torch made yet for some obscure reason you can just use a stick (match), just as long as fire is fully fuelled ... otherwise the fire will just consume it.

I think they add magic to starting fires.

Bump.

What about to make high-q firebrand last longer? Right now it seems that q50 branches do not differ from q10 for kindling purposes.

1. You have box of matches craft.
2. You have Flint&steel
3. You have torch
4. You have magic for firing
What else you need to understand, that firebranch is the hardest way to make fire? It's dont need to be so easy.

Would be pretty cool to be able to right click a fire to light it, no other bull-shit.
