Then ask to the owner of the boat if it needs to be wet because the wood does not come off and to avoid creating loopholes ( i used Google translator here, i hope you understand)

I think you already tell me boat needs to be wet. Why to asking again?

This what i mean with waterfalls:

Maybe shouldn't even possible going up a waterfall...only going down, but taking damage and eventually a tall waterfall could break the boat and deal damage to the player like shadyg0d wrote.
In this way living in remote part of the map become more difficult, and most of the players are encouraged to live in the plains togethere.

Maby when jorb and luaghter make them more rapid or add rapid waterfalls into the game. Need some big rocks in the middle of the water to.

But I am fine as is with things, just keeping my eyes b=out for random players that might get a bright idea and want to kill me as always.

For a waterfall to work, a river needs a current. without a current, its just floating stagnant water, which is what it currently is.

In other words, we'll have to have flowing water implemented before any complicated, water related mechanics?

Nope, from what i know about coding (very little)...use your imagination guys, we don't need flowing water, and moreover this game will never have a physics engine..at least for the next 10 years =). However should be possible using tiles coordinates...to establish if there is a waterfall or not...and how tall it is.

Proper waterfalls would be cool, at least.
