The agi thing works for me, but everything else needs to work along the same lines.

I thought your pet peeve was that you can never "catch up"? Within the agi-bonus system, you still can't catch up; you're just limited in how far you can fall behind. Was I wrong?

we've taken steps and MANNNNNNYY step over the years to prevent super botting. saying its a waste of time is a slap in the face to world 3 players & J&L.

There always ways to prevent botting~ to define what we stop better; preventing botting that opens doors to exploiting (see ladyGoo bot exploits as an example) or the need of bots (example fishing).

If you missed the point because of a bad quote, i'll try to explain to you that the point is in that "to some extents", and also in what follows that phrase :) .

Loftar already explained that there are forms of, say, "dynamic caps" to the skills and their effects, now it's a matter of the player intelligence to understand that and, maybe, take advantage on that...
I find interesting that a few players basically missed or skipped the game proposal, and created another one based on what they feel the game was proposing or, better, what they want the game to be, this is showing in the ideas proposed by some players in this section.

Once effort to progress on one character severely exceeds the net results AND there is actual competition people will just develop alts like they always have...

Not fond of this for the same reason why people would love it, since most of the characters people think of as titians stay at home. Why would you put your best character at the most risk? Be it a fighter or not?

I think that this has potential, but before it can be added we would have to find the perfect balance. In other words the "sweet spot" where the majority of all players are happy.

No, it's not about having to have equal effective stats, it's about having an actual fighting chance. 0.5 - 2.0 is still too wide a range for that, though.

Just a little by the by, while your suggestion doesn't set a stat cap in the strict sense of the term, it does set an effective stat cap. It is effectively the exact same suggestion as this, so you may as well discuss it there.

That suggestion puts a stat cap pretty much, with this there's atleast a little reason to go past 300 whenever in that suggestion there is not, that is exactly the point of this, the stat grinders will never have a big advantage over a player that plays casually, but he would still have some kind of gain from it atleast. The 10% and 2k stat value was just used as a example just for the idea, the real values are discussable. lold at the triggered math nerds, Im bad at it btw hehe.

An even more neat thing we could make...it's to have a "dynamic curve" setted on the average stats of the server (with some conditions, active players, etc)....in this way we could hit very bad botters, cause if the average is about 100 (for example) and you have 10K you are clearly a botter. More you go away from the average more the penalty would be...but this is even a more complex thing...as always i hope you can understand what i mean :D .
